Udayan SwabolombeeSangstha (USS) as ‘Udayan’ has been started its journey since 18 May, 1979 in a remotest riverine village named Putimari at Shaghata Upazila of Gaibandha District in Bangladesh, as a non-profit and voluntary organization. Udayan has been working with poor, disadvantaged, marginalized people of different communities since its inception to achieve sustainable development of the areas of the district. Udayan is registered with the Department of Social Welfare in 1991 and with NGO Affairs Bureau of the same year. The Udayan working area is Gaibandha and Dhaka Districts of Bangladesh. It works for community development and to ensure the human rights overall. Focusses on Education and make the community people be independent. Its experiences on project implementations and having expiries on disaster copping mechanism. Sometimes it works on service delivery and on right based approaches.
